Silver Baleen Series

The Silver Baleen series explores some basic elements of formline design and engraving.

The design embodies the mouth of the humpback whale. Humpback whales are filter feeders, the filters in their mouths are called baleen and look like a large brush. The shape is also characteristic of the "U-Shape" of formline design. A basic building element and very eloquent shape.

Each engraved line creates two facets. As you line up the engraved paths, they create a high shine texture with lots of facets. 

The cuffs are finished with either a high shine or a matte finish. The cuffs are gender neutral.

Hero Series

Each piece in the Hero Series explores various admirable traits of the creatures and people of Southeast Alaska. 

The pieces are shaped and engraved from a heafty 14 gauge Argentium silver. The piece is then shaped or bent if needed and  black tarnish is then added. Finally a second series of engravings is carved out creating a strong black / silver color combo!
