Transforming Raven

Raven is a prominent figure in Tlingit stories. Often times responsible for many of the major changes in the face of the world. He has the ability to transform. This design depicts Raven mid-transformation.

This piece was my first two color print done in September 2015. Limited series of 68 in the first edition plus an artist proof series of 15. These are 11" x 14". This is a signed, titled, and numbered series.

Chilkat Pattern Boards

Chilkat Pattern Boards

Chilkat Pattern boards were traditionally painted as a template for weavers to use to guide their design as they wove. This was usually done on a large plank of wood or multiple planks of wood. This piece is a study in Chilkat design style, a subcategory of Formline design which acknowledges the constraints of the weaving artform.
